I specialize in the treatment of trauma, PTSD, abuse, grief and loss, first responder concerns, depression/anxiety disorders, and related issues. As a counselor, I integrate a variety of treatment approaches to accommodate your individual needs and meet you wherever you are at. My goal is to help you feel safe and confident within your body, identity, and relationships. I believe lasting, transformative change can occur from the therapeutic relationship. My style is direct, collaborative, and compassionate in a professional, authentic atmosphere.
My Guiding Principles
Safety
I prioritize safety by establishing trust and creating a safe container for healing and growth to occur. Change is not possible when we don’t feel safe. Anyone who has ever felt unsafe knows the value of true safety.
Authenticity
I believe letting go of who we think we should be and embracing who we really are is essential. I believe therapy is the place for crying, laughing, cussing, praying, and screaming. Any authentic reaction is welcome here.
Acceptance
I value true acceptance and belonging. I demonstrate compassion and empathy over judgment and shame.
Autonomy
I believe you know yourself far better than anyone else. I act as a supportive role to provide alternative perspectives and desired skills, but YOU are the main character of this story.
