INDIVIDUAL TRAUMA THERAPY IN ARIZONA
Dear Self, It’s Your Turn to Take Priority
Integrative Care for
Trauma Healing
Welcome to Dear Self Trauma Therapy, your place for holistic trauma healing and recovery in Arizona. We are a team of compassionate trauma specialists who work together for whole-body healing from trauma. We are committed to overall wellness and comprehensive care for each individual.
Our Approach
At Dear Self Trauma Therapy, we recognize and honor the mind-body connection for healing. Our unique approach to psychotherapy includes the body in the conversation. We have found the body to be the missing link when processing trauma which helps trapped emotions release from the body. This works for more than just trauma treatment, it helps anyone who is experiencing distress.
Whether you are seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, coping with a traumatic event, grief, or are generally feeling overwhelmed with your life, you don’t have to be alone in this journey. It’s an honor to help you achieve your goals, overcome these struggles, and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Our Vision
The vision of Dear Self Trauma Therapy is to create a place where no one has to feel alone; a place where everyone has an empathetic presence.
Our Mission
The mission of Dear Self Trauma Therapy is to provide heart-centered, individualized trauma therapy to all hurting souls seeking healing.
Our Core Values
Safety
We prioritize safety by establishing trust and creating a safe container for healing and growth to occur. Change is not possible when we don’t feel safe. Anyone who has ever felt unsafe knows the value of true safety.
Authenticity
Letting go of who we think we should be and embracing who we really are is essential. Therapy is the place for crying, laughing, cussing, praying, and screaming. Any authentic reaction is welcome here.
Acceptance
True acceptance and belonging are welcome here. Compassion and empathy are demonstrated over judgment and shame.
Integrity
Having the courage to do what is right over what is easy or comfortable. Leaning into vulnerability and uncertainty as we have courageous conversations. We never give up on the fight for healing or the one fighting for it.

Healing Modalities
-
The Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) method is a therapeutic practice that focuses on traumatic, overwhelming or stressful experiences that are stored in the body.
It is a body awareness approach to release stress and restore your well-being by trusting the body’s innate ability to heal and reinstate a capacity for self-regulation. The goal of the SE approach is to help you attune to your body, establish safety and bring yourself to a more grounded, safe, relaxed state. Change can come through movement, as well as sensory and emotional discharge. For more information, please visit https://traumahealing.org/se-101/ -
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from different treatment approaches. EMDR therapy uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain. Therapists often use EMDR to help clients uncover and process beliefs that developed as the result of relational traumas or childhood abuse and/or neglect. Online therapy or telehealth might be the perfect fit for you if:
✓ you need support, but find it difficult to make it to an in-person appointment
✓ you are a busy stay-at-home or working parent
✓ you live in a rural area with limited access to qualified professionals who specialize in your concerns
✓ you want the flexibility of being in therapy from your couch at home
For online therapy, we are using a user-friendly HIPAA-compliant platform widely used by many therapists to conduct all video sessions. We have received feedback from our clients that these online sessions are both highly effective and convenient.
